NWR KARBONIA Sp. z o.o. was established on June 22, 1999 . Entry of the company in the commercial register maintained at the Regional Court in Katowice – 8th Business Register Department VIII as entry No. RHB 16633 was recorded on July 23, 1999.

Currently 100 % shares of NWR KARBONIA Sp. z o.o. is held by the international company New World Resources N.V. (‘NWR’), one of the leading hard coal producers in central Europe seated in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

NWR KARBONIA Sp. z o.o. seated in Kaczyce, is a Polish commercial company and is subject to the Polish laws.

NWR KARBONIA Sp. z o.o. is a company specializing between others in production of coal and other natural resources as well as geological exploration. In June 2008 KARBONIA PL Sp. z o.o. obtained from the Polish Ministry of Environment a mining license for mining of coal and associated resources from ‘Dębieńsko 1’ deposit, valid for a period of 50 years.

Currently, a full feasibility study is under preparation. This should be completed by the end of 2009. The ‘Dębieńsko’ project is periodically discussed with the local municipality of Czerwionka-Leszczyny .
